What are the types of propane-butane tanks?
Underground
Underground tanks are a classic and preferred choice in cases where aesthetics or limited space do not allow for a visible installation. They are completely buried below ground level, with only the inspection hatch remaining above the surface.
Advantages:
  • The tank is hidden underground and does not affect the appearance of the yard or property
  • The constant ground temperature (around 5–10°C in winter) ensures better evaporation and stable gas pressure
  • Reliable system performance even during prolonged low outdoor temperatures
  • Increased protection against weather conditions and mechanical damage
Most common capacities for household needs:
1750 л, 2700 л, 3000 л, 4850 л, 6400 л
Aboveground
Aboveground tanks are a widely used solution for household and commercial needs. They are installed on a concrete base and provide quick and easy access for installation, inspection, and refilling.
Advantages:
  • Lower initial investment compared to underground tanks
  • Easier and faster installation without excavation work
Features:
In harsher winter conditions, aboveground tanks are more susceptible to gas temperature drops, which can lead to pressure reduction and limited evaporation. This makes them less suitable for cold climates, especially where high reliability at low temperatures is required.
Most common capacities for household needs:
500 л, 1750 л, 2000 л, 2700 л, 3000 л, 3600 л, 4850 л, 6400 л

What should we know about large-capacity propane-butane tanks?
Large-capacity tanks (from 10,000 to 100,000 liters) are designed for industrial, commercial, and logistics facilities with high liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) consumption. They provide long-term autonomy, lower operating costs, and the ability to centrally supply large consumer systems.
Applications:
Gas storage bases and distribution centers
Factories and production plants
Greenhouses and agro-industrial complexes
Hotels and spa centers
Stations (LPG for vehicles)
Central heating for residential complexes and administrative buildings
Advantages:
  • Provide a large fuel reserve and less frequent deliveries
  • Suitable for simultaneous operation of multiple users
  • Cost optimization through lower gas price when purchased in bulk
  • Possibility to build automated systems for monitoring gas level and pressure
  • Compatible with various types of burners, boilers, production lines, and filling stations
Technical features for all tanks:
01
Manufactured as aboveground or underground vessels depending on the site’s needs
02
Made of high-strength steel with anti-corrosion protective coatings
03
Equipped with all necessary safety and control components: safety valves, level gauge, manometers, valves, and inspection openings
04
Possibility of modular connection of several tanks (gas farm) for very high consumption
05
Designed and delivered in accordance with European Directives (PED 2014/68/EU) and local technical standards
